Alouette, gentille alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerai...my favourite nursery rhyme :)
After a very long break I am back. Prior to the break I had a list of topics lined up that I wanted to post on, but due to some unfavourable circumstances I was unable to do so. Nonetheless, I hope to do that in due time.
Now for those of you who are wondering where I was or what I was doing, let me explain it simply....I made a mess of my AS levels and had to start again...find another college and another course that I was more suited to...which I did and am now happy and making progress.....that is why at the end of August I was unable to post delightful words on the summer as I was straightening this situation out....I'm more of a stay calm and fix it person.....
But the world around me was still moving and many a thing has happened...at my new college I met a lot of new people....some I like more than others...but the thing that intrigued me most is how I have started all over...a fresh start with the experience of mistakes that I know not to make again and a second chance...
Sometimes we're faced with bearings that are unknown to us...the right path may be the one beside the one your walking on...how are we to know that the path we have set upon is right?....the world is full of endless possibility and the decisions we make open doors for us and close some too...yet I continue on in this world knowing He has set a path for me....how I'm going to reach it I don't know but I have faith...
In other news, I have developed an addiction to coffee...now many of you will relate to this but it isn't just because I like the taste but more to do with....READ THE FOLLOWING SLOWLY AND IMAGINE ---> the idea of a high flying marketing executive walking into an office wearing a red jacket, wind blowing through her hair (or hijab in my case), holding a cup of coffee, the keys to a shiny car in her hand, Coco Chanel's 2.55 quilted bag on her arm, chatting away on her business phone to someone in Japan......do you see how it fits in???
You may have noticed that I mentioned a marketing executive...my career of the month and like all careers the more you read about it the more you see yourself there...Marketing is a unit of the course I chose to do and I enjoy it...partly because it involves creativity (creativity and me go way back) but also because its interesting to me how people's perception is influenced....
Over the years my choice of careers has been wide ranging from actress to artist, fashion designer to scientist, chef to accountant...currently its a strong tug of war between an accountant and a marketing executive...in the midst of all of this I have been contemplating which university to go to....and I must say it is a rather difficult choice to make...not only because I have to consider whether to stay closer to home or to go somewhere further away but also which course to do...it was narrowed down by choosing to do the Finance Career Academy course at college which meant I will inevitably do something relating to business and finance...and yet I still am unable to choose....if there's someone with wise words of wisdom out there...err I kinda need ya...sort of now...hello?
Also, I am thinking of getting back to my other love...photography...I neglected you for long but the promise of return is on the horizon.......
Hopefully I'll be posting again soon and for those of you who read my blog this will be a summary of the past few months...

So I have finally started a blog, I've been meaning to do this for a long time. Ever since I started reading other people's blogs I was hooked and the comment box became too small on other people's blogs to suffice as an outlet for my opinions. So here I have created the small outlet I really need to put my views, issues, opinions etc. in an organised and creative way :)
I'm a Muslim girl, born and bred in England, currently going to college and then InshAllah University. I don't really know what else to write about myself, so hopefully by reading my future posts you'll learn more about me.
I'm planning to write about anything that I find interesting/strange or I have an opinion about. This could include my college life, life in general and my religion.
A blog that really inspired me to write my own blog is Nzingha's Soapbox. She is amazing and writes about issues relevant to her in Saudi Arabia. Also, there were quite a few other blogs that inspired me but this one's at the top. Feel free to check it at:
www.nzinghas.blogspot.com
Feel free to leave a comment about what you about any my posts, but there are a few rules I insist you follow if you are going to leave a comment.
1) No bad language - Frequent use of profanity is a sign of inferior intelligence.
2) If you have an opinion, share it, but do not disrespect other people's opinions - they are entitled to theirs as you are to yours.
3) If you know me in person please refrain from mentioning my real name or anything that I wouldn't want the whole world to know.
Thank you
More posts coming soon! LOL
